USC Women in Math: Charlotte’s Web is an informal group of women and non-binary people that are now or have been affiliated with USC and are interested in mathematics. The purpose of the group is to enhance mentoring and networking possibilities at USC that are interested in mathematics and to raise awareness of the contributions of women and non-binary people to mathematics. The core of the group consists of graduate students, but undergraduates and faculty are also involved. The group usually meets about twice a month; once for a social event (usually lunch) and once for an invited talk by a woman in the Southern California area on her research. The group is funded by the Department of Mathematics and by WiSE at USC.
