Bio

Daniel Bennett is an associate professor (research) of economics at the University of Southern California.  His research focuses on economic development and global health in South Asia and Southern Africa.  His recent work examines the economic impact of poor mental health in India and the consequences of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Sub-Saharan Africa.  Dr. Bennett’s other research studies sanitation and hygiene, the organization of pharmaceutical markets, and the impact of COVID-19.
