Departmental Guidelines
- PHARMACOLOGY AND DRUG DEVELOPMENT (BA/BS):
- Number of major requirements students can fulfill abroad: Up to 2 courses or 8 units
- Major requirements that can be fulfilled abroad: Pharmaceutical and Regulatory Science (RXRS) and Biopharmaceutical Sciences (BPSI) Part 4 or Part 5
- Preferred term abroad: Spring of Sophomore Year; Fall or Spring of Junior Year; Fall of Senior Year
- BIOPHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES (BA/BS):
- Number of major requirements students can fulfill abroad: Up to 2 courses or 8 units
- Major requirements that can be fulfilled abroad: Biopharmaceutical Sciences (BPSI) Requirement (Part 4) or Biopharmaceutical Sciences (BPSI) and Pharmaceutical and Regulatory Science (RXRS) Requirement (Part 5)
- Preferred term abroad: Spring of Sophomore Year; Fall or Spring of Junior Year; Fall of Senior Year
- MINORS: BIOPHARMACEUTICAL BUSINESS, FOUNDATION IN REGULATORY SCIENCES, SCIENCE AND MANAGEMENT OF BIOMEDICAL THERAPEUTICS
- Number of minor requirements students can fulfill abroad: Up to 1 course or 4 units of upper-division, elective course work
- Minor requirements that can be fulfilled abroad: Non-required Pharmaceutical and Regulatory Science (RXRS) or Biopharmaceutical Sciences (BPSI) Course Work
- Preferred term abroad: Spring of Sophomore Year; Fall or Spring of Junior Year; Fall of Senior Year
- Please note:
- Prerequisites for any pre-health track (e.g. pre-pharmacy, pre-medicine, pre-dental, etc) may not be taken abroad. Check the host university’s websites and consult with a study abroad advisor for more information about your options.
- Students currently enrolled in a progressive degree are not eligible
Availability of specified field of study does NOT indicate that major/minor credit will be granted. Students must consult with major/minor advisor regarding coursework for major/minor credit.
