Advice from Kenett’s Ambassador Bio:

Program Highlight

CET Taiwan

Explore Taipei through CET Taiwan for a semester abroad! Having taken at least two semesters or an equivalency of Mandarin, students can immerse themselves in Taiwanese culture! Students will be housed in student apartments with four other students; one is guaranteed to be a local student, eager to help you get to know the college, area, and culture. Students are offered a “Professional Internship Seminar” to gain experience and get to know Taiwan’s work culture but may not be awarded USC credit for the course. CET Taiwan offers a wide variety of courses taught in Mandarin, with electives offered in English. CET Taiwan is hosted by the National Taiwan University in Taipei’s Gongguan district and is near public transportation. The Gongguan district is known for its student population, hosting the Gongguan Night Market, Treasure Hill Artist Village, Kishu An Forest of Literature, and many more. Thanks to Taiwan’s expansive subway and train systems, navigating not only Taipei, but the rest of Taiwan is easy! Students will have the freedom to explore the rest of the island’s natural beauty with railways that cut through mountains and across rivers without disturbing their peace.
