Ava Abramowich – King’s College London

Ask Me About: Anything about travel, abroad, sciences, London, the tube stations (still working on this one though) and of course pre-med! I studied at King’s College in London and participated in the Health and Society Program. Studying abroad was an incredible time filled with all new experiences –new people, places, cultures and more. Adding to that, the program at King’s allowed me to gain all types of experiences within medicine – shadowing, simulations, museums, guest speakers and more. I know even thinking about moving across the world is scary, but it is so worth it!

Advice: The simplest rule I tried to live by abroad was just saying yes. The four/five months you study abroad go by too fast (ask anybody who went abroad). The best way to make the most out of your time is to lean into the entire experience. Even if it means going to an event by yourself, asking a stranger or trying something new, I can confidently say you will walk away with a new memory, friend or something new learned about yourself that you could have never expected.
