Talk to me about: About going somewhere you’ve never been, going somewhere not a lot of people are going, or trying something new! I’m always open to talking about what it was like going to Galway, knowing no one who was going or not a lot of people who had already gone, and trying to figure out a new school system. Ask me about how to choose classes, on-campus accommodations, public transportation, what to pack, or the best places to eat in Galway. If you have any questions about anything Galway-related, I am happy to help! Everything definitely came with a learning curve, so let me know if I can make that a little easier. I am also more than happy to talk about places to buy things, ranging from groceries to wool sweaters!

Advice: Don’t be afraid to do things alone! Before going abroad, I could barely stomach the idea of going to a coffee shop at home by myself. But I went to Galway by myself and learned how to live 5,000 miles away from everyone and everything I knew. I was one of 3 USC students who went to Galway, so I went into my study abroad experience knowing no one. When no one could go, I ended up doing a few solo trips/adventures that ended up being some of my favorite memories! You shouldn’t let being solo be something negative. Take it as an opportunity to learn how much you’re capable of and a reminder not to waste a single moment. Start small by going to a restaurant you’ve been wanting to try, and maybe you’ll even go as far as flying to a new country on your own!
