“Conversaciones” es una serie de charlas organizada por el Basic Language Program de USC y la Oficina de Educación de la Embajada de España en Los Ángeles. Esta serie , que se lleva a cabo por Zoom, está destinada a ofrecer tanto a los estudiantes de USC como a los estudiosos de español de todo el mundo la oportunidad de practicar su español mientras aprenden valiosa información sobre profesiones relevantes que podrían considerar para su futuro.
En estas charlas, profesionales renombrados comparten su pasión por su profesión, así como su trayectoria personal. Los estudiantes tienen la oportunidad de escuchar sus experiencias e interactuar con los ponentes en la sesión de preguntas y respuestas.

LAIC Film Festival
The Spanish Film Festival for students enrolled in the Spanish Basic Language Program is an exciting event that provides an opportunity for these students to showcase their film-making talents and language skills. In this festival, students can create short films using the Spanish language and submit them for consideration. It serves as both a platform for creative expression and a valuable language learning experience. It encourages students to use their language skills in a real-world context and provides a unique opportunity to explore storytelling in a foreign language.

The USC Spanish and Portuguese Achievement Award
The USC Spanish and Portuguese Achievement Award acknowledges unique academic achievement. It is based on student performance, overall progress, and participation that go beyond the average course expectations, rather than high grades. It is presented to students who have shown extraordinary achievement throughout a Spanish or Portuguese Basic Language course. You can see a list of recent winners here.
