The USC Dornsife Professional Development Fund program is being paused until further notice due to the university implementing measures to limit and reduce expenditures to protect our financial sustainability and academic mission. We are excited to announce that USC Dornsife HR with the generous support of Interim Dean El-Naggar and Vice Dean Perez has launched a professional development fund for staff.
We are excited to announce that USC Dornsife HR with the generous support of Interim Dean El-Naggar and Vice Dean Perez has launched a professional development fund for staff.
The fund is mean to supplement any departmental funds for staff professional development. Here are some of the details:
- Must be directly related to employee’s job duties or the academic/administrative unit’s work.
- Applications will be accepted on a first come, first approved basis.
- If approved, a staff member may receive up to $750 for professional development related expenses.
- A staff member is only eligible to receive support every three years.
- The fund is limited to benefits eligible staff (staff, fixed-term staff, 50% and above effort).
- To be eligible, must be past their 90-day evaluation period, not on leave and in good standing.
