I wanted to be able to understand Brazilian culture and speak Portuguese. This was super important in my goal for International Marketing with a focus on Latin America; I wanted to be able to communicate/ represent the region, and being Mexican & bilingual, Brazil is so different from any other country.

In my experience, I loved my all my roommates. I got super close with all of them and Amanda, our Brazilian roommate, loved to show us around the city, and teach us new words. She would talk about and explain traditional or current events.
