Talk to me about: Finding opportunities to go out with a camera and give yourself fun experiments to improve with video and photography! I had so much fun bringing my phone and other cameras around to different sites and creating little cinematics to look back on. For me, I would watch lots of Taiwanese movies then go out and create little replicas of them at the locations in Taipei!
Advice: Truly immerse yourself in the place you are at. It’s easier than you think to find yourself in a bubble if you’re in a mainly-US filled program. Don’t just hang out with students from your home program, but also find local language/cultural partners to have a meal with. Change your Spotify/Apple Music Playlists to famous songs of the location and go on a nice walk outside!
