Talk to me about: Art, KPOP, academic careers, professional development, and living abroad. I’m a first-gen university student and an international student. To add on… I’m also a transfer student (I have only studied 2 years at USC in totality). Being able to study abroad in Japan for a year was actually one of the main reasons why I decided to transfer to USC after spending freshman year in New York at Parsons School of Design.
Advice: If you are curious about pursuing work outside of the US after graduating and want to experience a different type of life, I would recommend you to study abroad. Even if you don’t plan on working abroad, studying abroad really changes your worldview. Living abroad as a student is the best way to explore and experience life. You will grow an incredible amount not just through academics, but also as a person.
