Fall 2026 Syllabus
Math 055 is a 2-unit, 7-week support course is designed to reinforce trigonometry skills that are essential for success in Calculus. With hands-on activities and active collaboration, students will review and practice key topics including the unit circle, trigonometric functions, identities, graphs, inverse trigonometric functions, solving equations, and applications.
The course may be taken concurrently with Math 125 or Math 126, or independently for students preparing for the Math Placement Exam. At 2 units, it will often fit into a standard 4-course schedule without incurring additional tuition. Grading is exclusively P/NP.
Math 055 is offered twice each semester, once in the first 7 weeks, then again in the second 7 weeks. The content of both sessions is identical.
