Sarah Gualtieri has received the Mary C. Turpie Prize from the American Studies Association.
The prize is given to the candidate “who has demonstrated outstanding abilities and achievement in American studies teaching, advising, and program development at the local and regional level.”
With this award the ASA has recognized her longstanding work to deepen the understanding of US imperial interests in the South West Asia and Africa (SWANA) region and the reverberation of those interests in the form of anti-Arab racism in the US domestic sphere.
Congratulations Sarah!
