Research
Jessica Somers is a doctoral candidate in the English department and a Graduate Certificate student in Gender and Sexuality Studies. Her dissertation focuses on the ways that colonial homes and domestic objects unsettle British expectations of gender, sexuality, and western subjecthood in global anglophone literature of the long nineteenth century.
