Silverman Family Award
The Gene and Etta Silverman Family Award is given annually to a graduating senior majoring in creative writing.
About the Award
Preference given to a student who intends to pursue a career in writing or academia, wishing to supplement the undergraduate degree with travel and/or advanced study in a graduate program.
About the Silverman Family
Established in memory of Gene, Etta, Candace, and Jamie Silverman who died in a plane accident on July 17, 1996. Candace attended USC for four years and majored in creative writing.
