EALC121 & 221: Extensive Reading in Japanese I and II

These courses aim at developing reading skills in Japanese through short stories written for learners of Japanese and authentic materials written for native speakers. The main purpose of these courses is to find the joy of reading Japanese stories without translation. The book collection for this course includes fairy tales, manga, contemporary novels, biographies, and many more. In addition to reading lab, students engage in a variety of activities, such as shadowing, group discussion, book reports, and presentations of their own creative works to enhance their learning experiences.
