Courses
Our program offers a basic language sequence that covers beginning to advanced Chinese language, including Chinese I, II, III, IV, and Advanced Chinese I, II. For 400 level courses we are now offering theme-based courses: News and Web Chinese, Chinese Through Literary Works and Texts, and Business Chinese. We also have 2-unit courses: Conversational Chinese, Extensive Reading in Chinese, and Chinese Calligraphy.
In order to provide students a well-rounded college experience, we offer the practicum course Chinese Professional Internship where students intern under the guidance of the faculty advisor and the company mentor during the semester.
Students are also encouraged to take advantage of EALC’s summer study abroad program in Taiwan or Beijing to gain first-hand experience in Chinese language and culture.
