Summary Statement of Research Interests
Katherine’s research interest lies in the legal, political, and social history of Late Imperial China, mainly the Qing Dynasty. Her dissertation seeks to understand the grain transport system of the Qing Dynasty by focusing on the experience of the grain transport soldiers and their interaction with the Qing government.
