Biography
Ulises Flores Mendoza is a PhD student in Sociology at the University of Southern California. His research lies at the intersection of political sociology and immigration, with a focus on immigrant politics, immigration policy, and their effects on undocumented communities.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Dominican University, a Catholic liberal arts institution west of Chicago, where he graduated with honors and was named the Outstanding Student in Economics for the Class of 2023. Ulises is a recipient of the Dream.US Scholarship and a former fellow of UCLA’s Dream Summer program.
In his free time, he enjoys working out, watching movies, playing video games, and reading books on philosophy.
