Summary Statement of Research Interests
Ekaterina Tarasova is a first-year PhD student in the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of Southern California. Her primary area of research is interwar Soviet literature, early Russian cinema, co-authorship, the intersection between culture and ideology, censorship, and Soviet institutions. She is deeply interested in literary theory as well as a form of interdisciplinary studies. Ekaterina has participated in conferences in Russia, Estonia, and Switzerland and served as a member of various research projects. She has broad experience in archival investigations with numerous accolades including a scholarship from the Oxford Russian Foundation (2021-2022) and thrice winning the HSE Competition of Student Research Papers.
