USC Physics and Astronomy Mentorship Program (PAMP)

PAMP was launched in Fall 2023 by Undergraduate Major student, Miguel Mercado, with the intent to serve, connect and provide undergraduate students of all backgrounds pursuing degress within physics and adjacent fields the opportunity to form a mentor/mentee relationship with a senior mentor at USC (graduate student, postdoc, faculty, upperclassmen).

PAMP bridges the gap between undergraduates and graduates in physics and astronomy so that students can learn about their career options, professional life, and offer access to a support system within the Department of Physics and Astronomy.

PAMP encourages our mentees to learn as much from their mentors as possible. College is a time of uncertainty and change, and we hope that through PAMP, undergraduates can decide which physics pathway, if physics at all, they want to pursue.

PAMP provides a wonderful opportunity for graduate students at all levels to connect with their undergraduate peers and impact the physics community as a whole at USC.
