Departmental Guidelines for This Major
The following requirements may be fulfilled abroad:
- Critical Studies
- Intro to TV/New Media
- CTCS Upper-division style / genre analysis (typically a national/regional or genre course)
- American cinema course
- BFA Production
- New media course (it does not have to be intro, but could fall within Animation, Interactive, Mobile, VFX, VR, or other areas of new media technologies)
- Script analysis
- CTCS Upper-division style analysis (typically a national/regional or genre course)
NOTE: The School of Cinematic Arts has a strict timetable and sequence for taking some on campus courses. This is particularly true for students majoring in Production. It is important that you speak to your advisor to determine whether studying abroad will fit into your schedule.
Availability of specified field of study does NOT indicate that major/minor credit will be granted. Students must consult with major/minor advisor regarding coursework for major/minor credit.
