Talk to me about: Anything! Whether it be from the logistics of studying abroad as a pre-health student or where to eat in Madrid!

Advice: Make your study abroad destination a place that feels like home by fully embracing both the culture and the community. Studying abroad goes so far beyond academics- it’s an opportunity to broaden your horizons, gain a global perspective, and foster meaningful, lasting relationships. While travel is one of the most exciting perks of studying abroad, make sure to balance your desire to explore with spending quality time in your host city. The more time you invest in getting to know your host city, the more it will start to feel like a second home. Step out of your comfort zone by connecting with locals and frequent neighborhood spots to truly integrate yourself. Building a routine and a sense of belonging in your city will enrich your experience and allow you to appreciate the small, everyday moments that make studying abroad so special. Most importantly, make the most of every moment – time abroad flies by, so don’t wait for the “right time” to explore or try something new. Dive in, stay present, and take every opportunity to learn and grow.
