Talk to me about: Kia Ora! Ask me about anything! I was fortunate to see a huge portion of New Zealand – from Milford Sound, to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, to Cape Reinga and more…I am ecstatic about the country’s nature scene! If you’re eager to get outside New Zealand while down under, feel free to ask about Australia and Fiji too. Send me any questions about classes, preparation for departure, making new friends, clubs/activities on campus, the film scene in New Zealand, post-studying abroad life, or anything else you’re wondering about!

Advice: Meet other study abroad students! It’s likely you’ll live in the same building as them, and if you’re eager to see the country, it’ll be easier to plan trips with those groups who want to do the same thing. They’ll likely have good recommendations, too! Don’t stress too much about “culture shock,” there really wasn’t anything drastic…other than the abundance of sheep! Oh, and if you’re interested in Māori culture, “Decolonizing the Screen” (Māori 202) and “Kapa Haka” (Māori 190) are the best classes.
