Talk to me about: Studying in Cape Town! How to make the most of living in a place where you have access to beaches (seriously the prettiest I’ve ever seen), mountains, and a vibrant social scene. I strongly believe that Cape Town offers something for every type of person. South Africa is a less thought about option for study abroad but I can guarantee it will be the best decision you make! I kept lists of my favorite restaurants, beaches, bars, and more and would be happy to share.

Advice: You will be attending a South African University, use that to your advantage! Get involved in clubs or sports teams and you will make long-lasting local friendships. Push yourself to take the initiative of meeting new people and making plans. Africa is vast which feels exciting to want to see as much as possible (and you should explore outside the country!) but taking time to settle into a routine in Cape Town and becoming familiar with the city will help you feel fully immersed and is what really made me feel like Cape Town became my second home.
