Talk to me about: Japan is a beautiful breathtaking country and while you will have the experience of a lifetime being immersed in the culture the application process can be very daunting at various steps. Please don’t hesitate to ask me about the paperwork (USC and Nanzan app, Visa, class registration, etc) and being a student at Nanzan. I am also happy to simply talk about my experience living in Japan and all the fun activities I did traveling around Japan on my breaks! Even if you are just hesitant about moving abroad on your own and want advice feel free to reach out!

Advice: Ever since I was a kid I wanted to live in Japan. Being able to study abroad at Nanzan in Nagoya for a year was a dream come true. I can’t stress enough to anyone I talk to how life-changing this experience was! I always tell people whether it’s Japan, France, Spain, etc., please take this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. No other time in your life will you have the chance to live in another country as a student. You are not going as a tourist. You are living, adjusting, and being immersed in a new culture through your everyday life. I got to meet so many amazing people, eat delicious food, travel to over 7 prefectures, further my Japanese, and learn more about Japanese culture and myself. I loved it so much that I extended my original 4-month stay to 9 months with no hesitation. Please don’t be afraid to take the leap and experience something unforgettable. The staff at USC and Nanzan are there to support you all the way. This includes me as well! Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or want to talk about Japan!
