Nathan Kim – Yonsei University, Seoul

Talk to me about: I can best talk to you about studying abroad in Korea as a premed student and as a “gyopo,” but I’m open to talking about anything study abroad because I remember it was super overwhelming before and at the start of the semester trying to figure out everything.

Advice: Just apply first and then decide if you want to go or not later. I applied legit a week before on a whim, and it turned out to be the best decision I’ve ever made in my life. I was very scared because I have never traveled alone or to another country by myself, and I didn’t want to put my premed life and my life here on pause. But it was 100% worth it. I’ve learned so much about life and become very independent while gaining so many life experiences. It will be a forever unforgettable college memory, and my only regret is that I didn’t do it longer.
