Two teams of researchers in MEB, with collaborators elsewhere at USC and other institutions, have been awarded National Science Foundation Emerging Frontiers Grants under the Microbiome Interactions and Mechanisms call. One team is led by Dr. Eric Webb, with Co-PIs Dr. Naomi Levine and Dr. Cameron Thrash, and the other is led by QCB’s Dr. Fengzhu Sun, and includes Co-PIs MEB professor Dr. Jed Fuhrman, Viterbi professor Dr. Yan Liu, and Marshall professor Dr. Jinchi Lv. Both groups will be studying the dynamics of marine microorganisms in very different systems. Read more about the Webb team project HERE, and the Sun team project HERE.
