Summary Statement of Research Interests
I am a historian interested in the study of the British Atlantic world from the sixteenth century to the end of the eighteenth century. Of particular interest is the study of how political, social, and cultural changes in England and the struggles between European empires shaped the lives of people living throughout the British Atlantic world. I am also interested in the formation and nature of cross-cultural exchange between Native Americans and Euro-American settlers, in both peripheries and centers, and how these exchanges helped shape the face of colonial and imperial politics, economics, and culture.
