Lauren Portillo Perez

Lauren Perez is a Program Specialist at the USC Equity Research Institute, where she has played a pivotal role since joining in May 2014 as the Administrative Assistant. Her passion for social justice was sparked while studying Sociology at the University of Southern California.

With over a decade of experience in event planning, Lauren excels in organizing key events such as staff retreats, community scholar events, and organizational functions, ensuring they align with ERI’s strategic goals. She also supports essential administrative functions, manages new hire processes, and facilitates onboarding for new staff. Her efforts to enhance organizational infrastructure underscore her commitment to excellence and social impact.
