Summary Statement of Research Interests

Cathleen researches cultural and political networks in her home of the Northeast San Fernando Valley to investigate how people have redefined and used suburban space for collectivity since the mid-20th century. Her goal is to pass down local, intergenerational wisdom about the sorts of spaces and strategies we can use to support cultural arts, education, and social justice.
