Ask Me About: Anything about Germany! Feel free to ask me anything about my experience of living in the capital of such a historically rich country. Whether it be about getting around, what to eat, or what to do in your free time. I had the privilege of living in a student apartment building, which I can speak all about! I also am able to provide an insight on how it feels to live as a Hispanic in a predominantly white country, and why I chose Berlin as my home base! I hope I am able to help you decide if you will take this extremely valuable once in a lifetime opportunity!

Advice:Don’t count out your home base! I was able to travel to many different cities in Germany during my time abroad. Whether it was visiting the gorgeous port city of Hamburg, the famous Christmas Market in Dresden, or the stunning Sanssouci Castle in Potsdam, there was never a moment of boredom. Don’t be afraid to involve yourselves in the local culture as well! I had the pleasure of attending many workout classes all around Berlin, where I was able to connect with the locals along with practice my German. I deeply encourage you to continue your hobbies abroad, especially if it means enriching your experience abroad. An underrated experience that I strongly encourage to do is get an internship abroad, especially if your program offers it! I urge you to enjoy every single moment abroad, as this is one of the last times you will be able to live with few responsibilities for the rest of your life!
