Najah Boyd in Bristol

My experience studying abroad as an HHSC major was wonderful. In this major, I had a lot of flexibility in the classes that I took, and that definitely transferred over to my time at the University of Bristol. I was able to take a class on the science of creativity and another on interpreting statistics. I feel like both of these courses allowed me to go beyond “hard” science and to consider my major in a new light. Additionally, as a current master’s nursing student, it was certainly helpful to get some extra practice with statistics. I also took a course on British cinema which helped fulfill credits for my minor and allowed me to watch films that I may not have seen during a USC film class. Overall, I’m thankful for my time in the study abroad program. It allowed me to bring new perspectives to my final courses at USC and carry them with me even beyond graduation.
