Talk to me about: Literally anything! I’d love to give you insights on academics—whether it be studying abroad as a STEM major or having a foreign language minor—the best places to get an after school tortilla (obviously Pez), or how to navigate living in a homestay. Please don’t hesitate to reach out!
Advice: It’s okay to be nervous about studying abroad! You are going to a completely new country that speaks a completely different language with people than you’ve never met! You may even be in a foreign language-speaking homestay and taking classes with professors who speak little to no English, like I was. Reach out to others in your program—I made so many new friends who I now talk to every day and can’t imagine life without. Get to know your professors—they want you to have the best experience possible and are full of advice. Finally, embrace the butterflies—think of them as a sign of excitement rather than angst. One day you’ll look back on your semester abroad and wish you could go back to the beginning to do it all again!
