Abstract: We use a wide range of tools and model organisms in our research. Guided by our interest in the cell and molecular biology underpinning of organism development and function, we aim to understand how microtubules contribute to cell division, how lamins facilitate genome organization during development, and how animals develop the endosymbiotic lifestyle with algae. I will summarize our past findings and highlight our unpublished work with an emphasis on the study of endosymbiosis.
