The USC-Huntington Early Modern Studies Institute seeks applications from USC Dornsife graduate students for a position as an Assistant Editor for the Huntington Library Quarterly.

The position provides an opportunity for a graduate student to work closely with the editor of a premier academic journal and develop skills related to publishing and academic professionalization. The responsibilities include creating and maintaining the workflow program to track submissions; assisting the managing editor in communicating with authors and reviewers; coordinating with the University of Pennsylvania Press on production tasks; copy-editing as needed. The position will require up to 5 hours of work each week in a hybrid setting.

Applicants should have research interests in the humanities or humanistic social sciences, excellent organizational practices, and effective written and oral communication skills.

The position will begin in January 2024.
