About Sigma Gamma Epsilon
Sigma Gamma Epsilon is the National Honor Society for the Earth Sciences. Founded at the University of Kansas in 1915, Sigma Gamma Epsilon recognizes “scholarship and professionalism” in the Earth Sciences and has approximately 200 chapters nationwide.
Purpose
At USC, SigGam promotes scholarship and friendship among Earth Sciences undergraduates, through both academic and recreational events.
Membership
All Earth Sciences undergraduate students are welcome to apply, with minimum GPA and completion of Earth Sciences units taken into consideration.
Calendar of Events
SigGam will be meeting monthly throughout the school year. Meetings will include, but not be limited to, subject-related talks, undergraduate research support, outreach, and (of course) hiking.
