Chinese Program Mixer, Spring 2024 Edition, was successfully held on Thursday, February 29th, 2024, 4:00-5:30 pm at THH 114.
The Mixer consists of Booth Lecturing Session and Interaction Session.
There are six Booths:
- EALC Major & Minor Booth
- Lower Level Booth
- Advanced Level Booth
- Study Abroad Booth
- Student Club Booth
- Career & Internship Booth (Zoom Booth)
Chinese Program Director Yi-Hsien Liu introduced Chinese Program Courses, Major, Minor etc.
Students representatives shared their experience about Lower-Level Chinese Language Courses, Advanced-Level Chinese Language Courses, and Study Abroad program, respectively.
Guest Speaker Mr. Felix Guo from LA Chinese radio AM1300 attended the Mixer via Zoom. He introduced internships and chances to speak at Chinese radio stations.
Nine Student Clubs gave brief introductions to their clubs: Asian American Tutorial Project (AATP), Dear Asian Youth (DAY), Taiwanese American Organization (TAO), Traditional Chinese Dance at USC (TCDance), Trogons A Cappella, Trojan Bloom, USC US-China Institute (南加州大学美中学院), and USC KUNGFU. TCDance, USC Kungfu, and Trogons gave their showcase at the Mixer.
After the lecturing session, students interacted with different booths and collected stamps from each booth to get a lottery chance for quiz pass and jackpot – dragon doll.
