Bio

Shreya Bhardwaj is a Postdoctoral Scholar, Research Associate at the Center for Economic and Social Research, working with IGEMS: The Interplay of Genes and Environment across Multiple Studies. An applied microeconomist, her research examines economic inequality, with a focus on questions at the intersection of public and labor economics. Her PhD dissertation examined the long-run effects of childcare regulations and evaluated welfare programs in the US. She earned her PhD in Economics from the University of Southern California. She also holds a Master of Public Administration from Cornell University and a BS in Economics from Iowa State University. Outside of work, Shreya enjoys catching the latest movies, petting stray kitties, painting, and walking long distances across cities and discovering great food along the way.
