MPVA 262 German Language and Diction (Fall 2020)
This course is a new collaboration between the Thornton School of Music and the German Studies program. The class is for vocal students who learn the German language, diction and are performing excerpts of German music – in this case, an ecerpt of Beethoven’s 9th symphony.
German 470: Advanced Composition and Stylistics (Spring 2020)
German Studies minor Rosa Singerman and Caitlin Kluchnik worked on an assignment which called for them to listen to Sido’s Song “Wiese vor dem Reichstag,” to read the lyrics and to subsequently write the US counterpart to the text.

German 499: Rocking the GDR. East German Counterculture (Spring 2019)
The course was conducted in German but students made their research available to the campus community in an English-language presentation during a showcase at the Feuchtwanger Memorial library.
