Biography
Karen Romero is a fourth year PhD student in the Political Science and International Relations department at USC. Her main fields of study are American Politics, Quantitative Methods, and Race and Gender Politics. Karen’s current research projects focus on how experiences of gender discrimination in the workplace impact voters’ evaluation of political candidates, and how Donald Trump’s rhetoric in response to opposition from public facing women has transformed over time. Karen also works as a freelance journalist, and is a regular contributor to the environmental and social justice online publication, Red Canary Magazine.
