Biography

Joshua Leung is a PhD Candidate in Political Science and International Relations at the University of Southern California. His subfields are International Security and Foreign Policy (ISFP), and Methods and Research Tools (MRT). His research interests lie in the applications of socio-cultural psychology to status seeking and international security, with a focus on the concept of face culture, saving face, and losing face in East Asia. He is also interested in the interactions between China and Southeast Asian states, particularly on the South China Sea issue. He has a BA in Global Affairs from Yale-NUS College in Singapore.
