Paris Viloria (she/her) is the Research Coordinator I at the USC Equity Research Institute. As the Research Coordinator I, Paris harmonizes the four buckets of ERI’s research through contributing to the writing, editing, and designing of reports, assisting with data collection and analysis, managing project timelines and events, and organizing interviews, among others. She also supports the convenings of the ERI Advisory Committee and the Council of Immigrant Inclusion to discuss the current research and organizational landscape that inform ERI’s Research Agenda.

Paris is passionate about tackling socioeconomic inequality, specifically neighborhood effects, community disadvantage, educational access, and housing. This led to analyzing housing financialization and its amplification of urban and racial inequalities as a research assistant at UC Berkeley, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Political Economy with a minor in Public Policy.

Prior to joining ERI, Paris connected immigrants and refugees to employment, educational, and pro-bono opportunities, and formed partnerships with local organizations to provide free devices for clients who faced digital barriers during the pandemic for the community action charity Groundwork UK. Her professional experience also includes working as a program assistant for the City of San Pablo’s Youth, School, and Community Partnerships Division to comprehensively and collaboratively address the needs of local students, focusing on the Community Schools Initiative.

Outside of ERI, Paris enjoys upcycling thrift finds, reading new books, and documenting reviews.
