Reproductive rights statement
ERI stands with all people seeking abortion care, and in solidarity with reproductive justice movement organizations fighting to ensure everyone can access the care they need in the aftermath of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization ruling by the Supreme Court.
Every person has a right to make personal health decisions with privacy, dignity, and bodily autonomy. Reproductive rights are fundamental human rights. Safe access to abortion is inextricably linked to social, economic, gender, and racial justice.
The impact of this ruling will fall hardest on low-income women and women of color who already face multiple intersecting inequities of racialized systemic discrimination, health disparities, and unequal economic opportunities.
We continue to support leaders on the ground and stand with community organizations leading the fight for reproductive justice and freedom by using data and analysis to contribute to a more powerful, intersectional, and intersectoral movement for equity.
