Biography

Camila is a third-year doctoral student in the English department and a Wallis Annenberg Endowed Fellow. Her research focuses on Shakespeare, early modern women writers, girlhood studies, and gender and sexuality studies. She earned B.A.s in English and Psychology at the University of California, Riverside, where she was a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Research Fellow and won the English Department’s Undergraduate Student Essay Contest Award in 2018. She is a first-generation student from the Inland Empire region of southern California.
