In addition to EASC funding opportunities, there are many East Asian studies-related funding opportunities and internships offered by other units at USC, foundations, universities in the U.S. and abroad, and other organizations to fund research, study abroad, dissertation writing and more.
USC students are also encouraged to visit the USC Academic Honors and Fellowships, which supports applicants through direct advising for selected competitive national and international scholarships and fellowships. Most of the opportunities on this list involve a campus endorsement or nomination process for applicants. USC students have received the Boren, Critical Language Scholarship (CLS), Fulbright, Gilman Scholarship and more to further their Chinese/Japanese/Korean language studies and/or East Asian area studies.
Students interested in pursuing internships in East Asia should visit the USC Career Center website for a listing of internships through ConnectSC and internships programs such as the Global Fellows program (UG only).
