The center provides an array of programming designed to support the research of affiliated faculty and PhD students while also bringing impactful scholars and policymakers to the university to engage undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty.

IR & CP Workshop Series

Facilitates the professional development of PhD students through their active roles as presenters, discussants, and attendees in a series focused on drafts of prospective journal articles.

Professional Development Workshops

Designed to provide graduate students guidance for their careers from POIR faculty.

Manuscript Review Series

Provides timely feedback to CIS-affiliated faculty who are preparing book manuscripts for submission for publication.

Academic Conferences

The center funds and hosts conferences related to international studies and/or comparative politics.

CIS Initiatives: Women-Identifying Writing Group

A writing group to support women-identifying POIR faculty and graduate students by providing a dedicated block of time to make progress on written output.

CIS Initiatives: Political Economy Working Group

A working group providing a platform for PhD students and faculty to workshop ideas with one another in an informal setting.
