USC’s Center for the Political Future (CPF) announced that Kelly Corley, The Red Bee Group Principal and Co-Founder, has joined its high-level Board of Councilors.

Corley has been a legal and public policy leader for many years. She brings to CPF her top tier legal acumen and her deep passion for civil dialogue and educating tomorrow’s leaders.

“As a proud USC alumna with a degree in political science, I am honored and excited to join the Center for the Political Future (CPF) Board of Councilors—especially at a time when political polarization and division are at an all-time high. CPF’s vital work champions civility, respectful dialogue, and consensus-building—values that are essential to a healthy democracy. Through its academic leadership and innovative programming, CPF is helping shape a future where political differences can lead to constructive solutions rather than gridlock.”

Corley’s dedication to public service and civic engagement naturally led her to CPF. She first got involved with CPF years ago when she helped develop and launch CPF’s Young Women’s Leadership Conference, an annual conference that brings high school girls throughout the Los Angeles area to USC to develop leadership skills and be inspired to pursue public service.

“For many attendees, this is their first time setting foot on a college campus—and their first direct exposure to public officials discussing the value of civic engagement and respectful political discourse. This conference is just one example of how CPF is equipping the next generation with the tools, mindset, and opportunity to lead with purpose and engage across political divides.”

Corley joins existing CPF Board members Kevin Beggs, Barbara Boxer, Ken Broad, Yar Chaikovsky, Lisa Korbatov, Aaron Nir, Kevin Parikh, Jeff Polak, Marshall Silberberg, and Hope Warschaw.

CPF plans to expand to 12 Board members by the end of calendar 2025 in order to grow its successful programs, create new ones, increase opportunities for students and carry out its mandate to educate and train future generations of political leaders.

“Our Board is critical in advancing the Center’s mission. With their support, our students have the opportunity to participate in impactful educational programs and political experiences,” said CPF Director Bob Shrum. “Kelly Corley is a powerful champion for practical politics and career development that educates tomorrow’s leaders. Her ideas, connections, advice, and resources are immensely useful to the organization. We are thrilled and honored to have her on the Board.”

Those who are interested in serving on the Board should consider joining one of CPF’s Center Leadership Circles and contacting CPF Executive Director Kamy Akhavan (kakhavan@usc.edu).
