Administrative Coordinator
Michael Amato, a Naperville, Illinois native, is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy with an emphasis in Law and a Master of Public Administration through USC’s progressive degree program.
On campus, Michael serves as President of the Public Policy Undergraduates club, where he builds community among Price School undergraduates, and as a Resident Assistant at Century Apartments. He is also active in several student consulting organizations.
Michael’s work has followed the public sector from the inside out. He started in constituent services for U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth in Chicago, connecting mixed-status families with housing resources. He then joined KPMG’s State and Local Solutions practice in Austin on a statewide financial systems implementation. Most recently, he spent the summer of 2026 at Fairmont Consulting Group in Washington, DC, running market research and competitive analysis for due diligence engagements in the defense and government services sectors.
Outside the classroom, Michael is a committed brunch scout and runner, and keeps his family back in Illinois entertained with regular reminders of how much sunnier it is in Los Angeles.
