Applications for Spring 2027 programs are now open.
Application deadline for Spain programs: August 3, 2026 (by 11:59 pm PDT)
Application deadline for all other programs: September 10, 2026 (by 11:59 pm PDT)
Students who submit their application earlier will receive an acceptance decision sooner (except for Spain programs). All applications submitted by the deadline will receive equal consideration. Applying early does not increase chances for acceptance.
Students must also apply to the host institution by the host institution’s deadline (except USC Paris and USC Madrid). Note that some host institutions have rolling deadlines.

Once you’re there, just embrace it! Do the things, see the places, talk to the people, eat the food, and document every second of it so you can replay it for the rest of your days!
USC Paris in Paris, France
Have you ever wanted your Emily in Paris fantasy to come true? Yes?! Then consider our very own USC Paris Spring Semester Abroad Program! USC Paris’s program goal is not only education abroad, but also in-depth French immersion. Classes take place in the USC Study Center at ACCENT, an international education organization, which is located near the Place de la Bastille, also nearby many restaurants, music venues, parks, and other historical monuments. Classes are offered in both French and English. Additionally, if a student’s French language skills are strong enough at the beginning of their semester abroad, they can consider taking French-speaking internships for academic credit alongside their coursework for even deeper immersion into French working culture. Students have the option live in a student studio apartment or a homestay, where more French immersion is guaranteed. Homestays will always be located near the USC Study Center or within two metro stops of the USC Study Center. Host families will provide laundry, breakfasts, and four dinners a week, allowing students to get to know every day French cuisine in the home. Students can also look forward to day trips and weekend excursions to French cultural landmarks, such as Chartres Cathedral and Monet’s Garden. Opportunities to participate in volunteering, recreational sports, and clubs are also provided by ACCENT staff, encouraging students to actively experience French daily life. USC Paris is perfect for students who want to deeply get to know a culture that is not their own while staying near other USC students and people who may be familiar. My host parents made me f eel like I truly had a home in Chile. It’s one thing to travel to places and stay in hotels/Airbnbs, but living in a Chilean couple’s apartment with them made it feel like I was a part of their family. I truly felt safe and cared for in their apartment and knew that I had a loving home to return to each day and after each trips, and a happy couple who would be excited to welcome me back.

I loved my all my roommates. I got super close with all of them and Amanda, our Brazilian roommate, loved to show us around the city, and teach us new words.

While studying abroad, I was able to take courses for my Philosophy, Politics, and Law major and my Spanish minor. I also learned how to talk about law in Spanish and identify differences between the American and Argentinian legal systems.

Sometimes being away from the comfort of home leads to some loneliness, but I found that the more I surrounded myself with good people and friends, this homesickness slowly subsided. Being in a foreign country is definitely a shock in the beginning, but before you know it, you’ll start to feel comfortable.

Asha Adley in Maastricht
Everyone in the program stayed in the same complex. I got lucky and was placed in a single, but there were also some doubles. By living in the same place as all my friends I was able to spend so much time with them exploring the city and relaxing. My friends and I started playing DnD, and I had frequent walks, study days, or movie nights with my friend Jaid who lived a floor up from me. The housing situation really helped create a community for us.
